BEACH RESCUE PROJECT

Each year, over 25,000 beaches in the United States are closed or posted as unhealthy [source: www.surfrider.org]. To remedy this, Barefoot Wine and Surfrider Foundation encourage local residents to volunteer at cleanup and restoration events across the country to help make these beaches "barefoot-friendly."

NEWS

SURFRIDER FOUNDATION

The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots environmental organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of our world's oceans, waves and beaches. Now in its 25th year, the Surfrider Foundation has grown from a small group of dedicated surfers in Malibu, California to a global movement made up of over 50,000 members and 90 chapters worldwide. For more information visit us at www.surfrider.org.

Barefoot has supported various not-for-profit organizations for more than 20 years. Since its inauguration in 2007, Barefoot Wine has donated $450,000 to the Surfrider Foundation in support of its mission to improve coastal water quality, promote free and open beach access, preserve coastal ecosystems and protect public beaches around the world. The Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project is Barefoot's effort to make a lasting footprint by "heeling" beaches across the country.
