As I’ve said, I’ll be highlighting some wonderful beaches all across the country in the following weeks as we get closer and closer to warm weathers and getting our bare feet back on the warm sands. I’ve already posted some tid-bits (and daydreamed about) Panama City Beach and will be choosing another beach to talk about soon. Lucky Barefoot_Hiker has already visited Panama City Beach – it makes me want to visit even more!
One of our partners on the Sites We Love has so kindly sent over her review of beach life in Minnesota! Thanks to Katherine over at Tailor Taste, we get a real Minnesota resident perspective of what being Barefoot in Minnesota and their beaches is all about – check it out below!

Keeping the Beaches Barefoot-Friendly in Minnesota – we do have some beaches ya know. Yah we sure do. Especially on our very Superior Lake. Minnesota actually has about 20,000 lakes and we are a very outdoors oriented group of people here. Every su
mmer everyone is at their cabin in the Northern Woods, sitting by a fire, fishing and more. And even in the winter, I see people snow shoeing and cross country skiing on the city lakes here, even wind surfing on a snow board. It’s totally a state of outsdoors people, with active lifestyles who care about our imprint on our land and waters.
One of my favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors is with friends, most of all by a bonfire on the lake. And at said bonfire with friends, you’ll probably find a couple bottles of wine (my favorite being Barefoot’s Sauv Blanc). I love eating and I don’t mind a nice glass of wine with my food as well. I’m hoping to get Surfrider to bring Minnesota into their action committee and include us in their scope of keeping beaches clean and protected.
