Annapolis, MD [February 2, 2010] – Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. is hosting the Chefs by the Bay 2010 gourmet tasting gala featuring local chefs, live and silent auctions and live entertainment from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Loews Annapolis Hotel on West Street in Annapolis.
JLA is pleased to announce that gourmet tasting stations will be hosted by Allison's Restaurant, Azure, Breeze, Caroline's Cakes, Harbor House Restaurant, Lemongrass, Luna Blu, Main Ingredient, Reynold's Tavern, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Severn Inn, Sofi's Crepes, The Bartlett Pear Inn, The Rockfish, Tsunami and Wild Orchid. Third annual "Reach for a Cure" is a wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres & silent auction fundraiser to benefit research for Friedreich's Ataxia, a rare genetic disease and form of Muscular Dystrophy that attacks the neurological system and shortens life. Co-chairs David and Linda Zilles' son suffers from FA. To help medical researchers find a cure for this debilitating illness, the Zilles' created the event with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and previously raised $94,000.
