What
is a Beach Rescue cleanup? A Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project cleanup is an
event that brings together local volunteers, Barefoot Wine and the Surfrider
Foundation to help renew and restore beach/lake front communities. The
Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots environmental organization
dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world's oceans, waves and
beaches.
What happens at a cleanup? We customize each event to make sure it
fulfills the most immediate needs of each location. So, as a volunteer,
you may be asked to help remove litter, assist in dune restorations or conduct
a native planting! No matter what, we thank volunteers 21+ afterwards
with a celebration featuring food and Barefoot Wine.
We toast the efforts of these local communities who join us in
raising awareness about the importance of having healthy beaches for
generations to come.
