To attend this event, you must RSVP.

For more information on this event please visit the Beach Rescue Concert site at: www.beachrescueconcert.com

Note: if you RSVP for AND attend the cleanup you do NOT need to RSVP for the concert also. Your cleanup RSVP/attendance will provide you with a ticket into the concert.

Basics:

At a Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project event, we take a stand in the sand and make a lasting footprint by "heeling" beaches across the country.  Together with the Surfrider Foundation, we are helping beaches stay "barefoot-friendly."

For each event, we target the needs of the local beach community.  Sometimes we host a traditional beach cleanup, but other times we'll do a native planting or a dune restoration.  No matter what, we thank volunteers 21+ afterwards with a celebration featuring live music, food and Barefoot Wine.  We toast the efforts of these local communities who join us in raising awareness about the importance of having healthy beaches for generations to come.

Volunteers should arrive in light colored, comfortable clothing and protective gear like hats, sunglasses and, depending on the task they plan to tackle, closed toed shoes.  We generally try to provide sunscreen and water, but it's always good to bring your own just in case.

You must be 21+ to participate in this event.

i'm so excited to be a part of this but it says u must b 21+ to participate (which i am!) but my 5yr old son wants to get involved. does that mean he cannot come and help even if we don't attend the concert afterwards? we've done a beach cleanup together in ortley beach and he really enjoyed it. if someone could answer whether he would be able to help w/ the beach clean up ONLY i would greatly appreciate it:)

  • posted Aug 11, 2009 by sarah image sarah

    Just to reiterate -  no + 1s or +2s - it's one RSVP per person :) Thanks!

@ Barefootsmiles - You can definitely bring your son to the cleanup, just not to the concert :( Thanks!

I have lived at the Jersey shore my entire life and have memories of going to
Asbury Park with my parents when I was young... going to the beach, walking the
boardwalk and taking a ride on the carousel are all childhood memories I can
only talk about with my children. It breaks my heart to see how the beachfront
has changed so much over the past 30 years. I would love to be a part of your
Beach rescue but only just learned about it and I am unable to sign up for the
clean up on the web site. If there is still room for 2 more people to help with
the clean up my husband would love to be there to help restore the beauty we
knew as children. We thank you for organizing this event and wish you much
    success.

I know this is full but if anything opens up my girlfriend and I would love to help out.  I wish I had heard about this sooner.  It is a great idea and looks like it will be a fun day.

I registered for the cleanup, but didn't print a confirmation.  Where do I meet up?  Is there somewhere I can lookup my RSVP?

I signed up in time for the concert but too late for the cleanup. I'd love to partake in the cleanup. If I can't work the cleanup, will my RSVP definitely get me into thje concert? Or might it be overbooked and therefore I will not get in? Thanks, Mike (and Eva).

Hi Mike (and Eva!) your RSVP guarantees your admission to the concert :) RSVPs are one per person, but as long as you have individually RSVPed you are good to go :)

A friend and I also have two tickets for the concert, yet are still interested in volunteering from 2-4pm. Can we still participate in the beach clean up? No need for the VIP access at the concert, we'd just like to support the efforts of Surfrider Foundation. Thanks.
