What is Barefoot Republic all about?
Barefoot Republic is a community of people who share an enthusiasm for living life barefoot, exploring and relaxing, living and loving, making a difference and for making new friends, preferably over a glass of Barefoot wine.
It’s a place where you can share your experiences with others, learn about fun Barefoot events, get involved in charitable community projects, enhance your knowledge of wine, check out simple and delicious recipes, and earn leis along the way to snag some fun Barefoot Souvenirs.
Share information, offer up your opinion on what we are doing, participate in surveys and activities, drop in at an event and say hello to a Barefooter and catch up on all the latest on the Republic Blog by joining Barefoot Republic.
How do I update my profile?
Login and click on "Me" on the top right of the page. You’ll be able to edit your profile details, upload photos, answer some fun questions about yourself and your favorite things, and set your user preferences. You can come back anytime to make more edits, just make sure to save your changes when you’re done.

How do I earn leis?
Pretty much any activity you participate in will get you leis, whether it’s uploading a photo of yourself from one of our Barefoot events, sharing a recipe, telling us where you like to kick off your shoes and get barefoot, or simply posting a review of one of our wines. You’ll even get leis just for joining! Every activity clearly displays the number of leis awarded for participating, and your profile will show you a running tally of how many you’ve earned. Be patient though, because with some activities we’ll need to review your submission before we can grant you your leis and that can take a few days.
Activities
There are lots of ways to join in the fun and earn leis at the same time with Barefoot Republic activities. Respond to questions we pose, comment on a photo, submit reviews, share your favorite recipe, or participate in any number of other activities, and once we’ve had a chance to check out your submission, we’ll award you the leis.
Games and Trivia
We want to know what you think, so when you sign on, take a minute to respond to our surveys, polls, and and try your hand at the quizzes that will test your knowledge on all things Barefoot. You can have fun and in only a matter of seconds and earn a ton of leis.

Ask a friend to join The Barefoot Republic and you’ll not only give them a first look at a new place where they can kick off their shoes and have fun, but you’ll earn leis as well! Use our cute postcard tool and send them a quick invite to check us out!
Scrapbook
Give other members a window into your world by submitting photos, videos, recipes, images, and more into the Scrapbook. Find out what other members think of your contributions when they rate them and add their own comments.
Barefooters
Use our nifty search engine to look for other members of The Barefoot Republic who live nearby or who share the same interests. You can read their profiles to find out more about them and send them a friend request to say hi if you feel like it!
Souvenirs
How do I redeem my leis?
When you’ve collected enough leis you can easily redeem them for Barefoot Souvenirs.
Why can’t I claim a Souvenir?
Either you may not have earned enough leis yet, or there may be a limit set on how many of a certain item you can claim. Check out the item description and if there still seems to be something fishy, drop us a line at BarefootGuide@barefootwinerepublic.com
Why am I unable to check out?
You must have accurate shipping information to check out, so verify it by visiting the Me section and make any necessary changes in the Basic Info section. Only members who reside in the US are allowed to claim rewards.
Orders
Once you've successfully completed your order, you will receive a confirmation email with your order number. You should receive your reward in four to six weeks.

What is the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project?
The Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project was launched with the Surfrider Foundation to help make America’s beaches "barefoot-friendly." Barefoot Wine hosts celebrations in the local communities where we "rescue a beach" in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of having healthy beaches for generations to come.
What is the Surfrider Foundation?
The Surfrider Foundation is:
- a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people through conservation, activism, research and education.
- a highly credible, visible and respected organization with more than 50,000 members and 90 chapters around the world.
Surfrider’s membership is made up of beach enthusiasts from all walks of life. They like to get Barefoot and have a great time, just like we do!
Why did Barefoot decide to partner with Surfrider Foundation and rescue beaches?
Barefoot Wine has been supporting efforts of the Surfrider Foundation for the past 15 years. The Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project is our way of taking a stand in the sand and making a lasting footprint by literally "heeling" beaches across the country. Together with the Surfrider Foundation, we are helping beaches stay "barefoot-friendly".
What do you mean by "rescuing beaches"?
Since 2007, Barefoot Wine has committed $450,000 in donations to the Surfrider Foundation. These funds are used specifically to restore America's beach and lakes across the country. We host celebrations in the local communities that we "rescue" in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of having healthy beaches for generations to come.
How many beaches will you be rescuing?
To date, the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project has helped eleven beaches across the country. Most importantly, we are helping to bring positive attention to a universal cause that is important to all of us, whether we live on a beach or just enjoy visiting one when we have the chance.
How are you choosing beaches to rescue?
The Surfrider Foundation helps us identify beaches in need. Some of these beaches are determined with the help of beach-goers (and wine lovers) across the country. Anyone over the age of 21 is invited to visit our web site www.BarefootBeachRescue.com and vote for the beach they feel needs some "heeling" from the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project.
How can I help "rescue" a beach?
Barefoot and the Surfrider Foundation host local beach rescue events and celebrations in cities throughout the summer. You can learn more about where and when these events will be taking place and how to RSVP to a local event by visiting www.BarefootWine.com.
